  • Powell Gammill. Project Vote Smart: 2010 Arizona Congressional Election Political Courage Test. Selected PRO-CHOICE for: "a) Do you consider yourself pro-choice or pro-life?" Other expanded principles: "Abortion is horrible. Especially late term abortion. But people have a Right to do with themselves what they wish. Their body is their property, and their life, and their pursuit of happiness that government is charged with solely protecting. And yes, the Rights of the mother outweigh the Right to life of the unborn child. If you permit this one instance of government power over Rights it will never end until government has absolute power and you have no Rights. Oooops, too late."

  • Powell Gammill. Vote AZ. 15 October 2012. "Adults are presumed capable of getting their own health insurance, if they want it bad enough. • Powell Gammill. Issues: Immigration. 12 October 2012. "People come here ready to take advantage of the opportunities the USA gives them. They raise children with high expectations and demands to better themselves. That is why they excel in school's and business. Industrious, and hard working. They produce. They consume. They help fuel and turn the economic engine. They have a very strong reason to preserve our way of life, because they came from a life that was far less desirable. And immigrants bring unique perspectives and ideas to our shores. As well as international business contacts which further increases both two-way demands for products, and expands potential customers in a world wide marketplace [¦] Historically, the States made their own immigration rules, typically requiring sponsorship (assuring the financial self-sufficiency and good conduct) of an immigrant by a citizen of that state. In less populated states, frequently there were no rules set up with the intent of encouraging immigration. Under the Tenth Amendment, the State's have reserved the power of deciding immigration, and the federal government has once again usurped the superior state privilege." (gammillforcongress.com)

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Abortion is horrible. Oooops, too late.
No Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
"It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world" --- President George Washington's Farewell Address to us. The inaugural pledge of President Thomas Jefferson was no less clear: "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations---entangling alliances with none." "(America) does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy." --- President John Quincy Adams. We have gone from a nation seeking peaceful commerce with the world to a nation bent on terror, conquest and thievery, spending our children's blood and squandering their inheritance on the road to global hegemony.

Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget. In order to balance the budget,

Yes do you support reducing defense spending?
No do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes do you support reducing Medicaid spending?
Yes do you support reducing Medicare spending?
Yes Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
We can no longer afford the gang with a flag. Eliminate ALL federal government except that explicitly authorized and required in Article 1, Section 8 of the CONstitution. Bring home all of the troops from around the globe, thank them for a job well done and send them home to their jobs and families. A standing Army is unconstitutional. An Air Force is too. A Navy is permitted, and I would work to restrict it to less than 25,000 personnel whose sole duty is to guard our shorelines. Return to a gold standard. End the Fed.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
If voting could change things it would be illegal. All that is required is your participation lending legitimacy to the outcome. The outcome is predetermined, because candidates you get to choose are previously vetted by government. And if that fails government "recounts" the votes and reports the results. Stop voting! It is all window dressing getting your acquiescence to government's theft and control over you. Even if the vote were legitimate it would be immoral. Government is three wolves and a sheep sitting at the table voting on lunch. Who gave anyone authority to vote your Rights or property away?
No Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Eliminate ALL federal laws where there is not a victim, or where the accused is not accused of initiating force, or fraud or trespassing upon another individual. Eliminate all federal funds to states that fund enforcing such non-crimes. 2% of the population is imprisoned! = police state. The death penalty is a really bad idea because you cannot right a wrongfully convicted person after they have been executed. You also do not want to give the federal government the power of death because they will expand its use on more and more crimes as the expand their power on everything.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Yes Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
All taxation is theft at the point of a gun and therefor immoral. A libertarian believes it is wrong under ALL circumstances to initiate force or fraud upon another. The only tax allowed under the CONstitution is a tax on imported goods. I would restrict such tariffs to a maximum 4% which should be plenty in a free country where people flock to live and work freely and keep what they earn. All lands, buildings and property of the US government not authorized in the CONstitution, or needed is to be auctioned off to pay off the horrific national debt.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
There is absolutely no authority for the federal government to steal people's earnings and redistribute them for "education." I would close down the US Department of Education. I would stop all federal spending on education at all levels. I would remove all federal regulations having to do with education. Why does a bureaucrat in Washington have a more valid opinion on the education of a child than that child's parent? That is a matter best left up to individuals, their parents and their state. I would stop federal guaranteed student loans so college tuition would plummet.
Yes Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
Carbon credit trading and cap and trade are socialist programs designed to steal from the productive and transfer wealth to the nonproductive. They will destroy our shaky economy. The Dept. of Energy hasn't produced a single erg of energy. It has crushed much of the innovative energy creation and conserving ideas by small businesses not awarded government RFPs to connected corporations and their patronaged subcontractors. The government has NO constitutional authority to say squat about energy.
No Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
People generally do not pollute their own property. They protect their property. They will sue others who pollute their property, because such pollution diminishes the value of their property. Governments are the biggest polluters. Getting rid of government property will reduce pollution. Getting rid of federal regulations and subsidies that currently stifle competition and innovation will encourage energy production and conservation. Conservation will reduce pollution, as will lawsuits brought by property owners. Global warming is real. Man made causality is a hoax perpetrated by government thugs as a way of expanding their power and expanding their take of your wallet.
No Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
People have the absolute Right to keep and carry arms in this nation, especially militarily useful arms in any manner they see fit. The single biggest reason to possess arms is for the people to violently overthrow a repressive government if needed, as it was over 200 years ago. "CONgress shall pass no law...."
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
Healthcare costs are astronomical BECAUSE government has interfered in the free market. Government restricts your choices of healer and your choices of treatment. Government subsidizes some providers with your stolen tax money, and then pass massive regulations when their plans to supposedly provide you with inexpensive healthcare fail. When government removes market forces and choices your prices are increased and healthcare availability is diminished. Just part of the plan.
No Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
No Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
If you cannot keep drugs out of prisons what makes you believe Mexicans can be kept out of the USA? Stop the damaging trespass through private property encouraged by the current government policy. Eliminate public official's corruption. Eliminate organized criminal gangs, hidden money and unreported crime. Lower the costs of your purchased goods and services. Keep more money in your wallet. Eliminate all government provided welfare. Legalize drugs to reduce crime, violence and eliminate smuggling. Open the borders. Eliminate the rude border guards, the un-American vehicle searches, and the repressive threats heaped upon businesses and the free market.
Yes Do you support same-sex marriage?
The only just laws are those that recognize and protect private property, and those laws that punish those who initiate force, fraud or trespass upon another. Government's SOLE purpose is to protect your Rights. When government fails in this it is YOUR duty to alter or abolish this government. Stealing your money to fund "noble causes" the CONstitution does not authorize is blatantly immoral. Creating laws that interfere in the free choices of a free people is tyranny. Neither should be tolerated. Government is nothing more than a gang with a flag. Eliminating government increases your freedom.
No Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
No Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon?
National security is just a myth created by the military industrial complex to justify the inordinate amounts of money stolen from you and transferred to them. They need wars and boogeymen to justify that theft and expending your loved one's blood and life. They foment terror in the populace with tales that they are protecting us. They are milking us. They create the terror, hostility and war overseas. They create hatred for us. They create the police state here to rule. Open your eyes, stop supporting them, learn how to shoot, take responsibility, tell someone and stop living in fear.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Social Security is just another tax and Congress can do as it pleases. Well they please to have IOUs in that "lock box." Social Security has always been a ponzi scheme, doomed to fail when there were more tit suckers than contributors. Well that day has arrived and there is nothing to be done for it. It will collapse and you will not get any benefits, or the money they print to pay you will be so inflated as to not even buy a loaf of bread with that month's payment. It's already spent.

The true purpose of government is to loot the fruits of YOUR labor. To use part of that theft to finance a complete property identification mechanism and support an armed apparatus to ensure your compliance with the robbery. They even fund continuous and broad cradle to grave propaganda services to persuade or cajole your support of their just benevolence. The only question is how much can they steal before you forcefully complain, refuse to cooperate or they run out of things to seize? Slave. Suckers!!!!

Bring our troops home from around the globe, thank them for a job well done and send them home to their families and their jobs. The savings WILL stimulate our economy. Cut government to its Constitutionally authorized functions: This would dramatically cut our expenditures helping to pay off our massive debt, restore faith in our currency, and encourage investment in our nation. This is the engine that creates jobs, liberty, peace and prosperity. Life, liberty and happiness. Restore our civil liberties by repealing the PATRIOT Act, and others, and prosecute former government employees who have violated their oaths to us.
